Canada's Top Ten Luxury Cars in 2018

Every year, more and more Canadians enjoy the
pleasure of owning a high-end luxury vehicle. There's nothing like the smooth
ride, quiet interior, and precise handling of a well-made car, truck, or SUV to
deal with the cold winters and hot summers Canadian drivers endure each year.
With that said, here's a list of Canada's favourite luxury brands based on
total sales in 2018 to date: 

 

Number Ten

Jaguar - A relatively reasonable price, an
incredible level of quality, and a touch of James Bond mystique help Jaguar land the tenth spot with their luxury
crossover F-Pace.

 

Number Nine

Volvo - Volvo's release of its second-generation
XC60 has generated fresh interest in its middle-rung SUV. Along with the new
XC40 and the XC90, SUVs account for over eighty percent of Volvo Canada sales.

 

Number Eight

Infiniti - Third-row seating, standard AWD, and
lots of advanced safety features make Infiniti's QX60 a Canadian favourite.

 

Number Seven

Land Rover - Land Rover's Range Rover Sport, Range Rover
Velar, and the full-size Discovery continue to gain popularity among Canada's
most discerning drivers.

 

Number Six

Cadillac - Cadillac's XT5 enjoyed great
popularity with Canadian buyers in 2017. While sales have tailed off in 2018,
Cadillac still sells enough vehicles to make the brand number six overall on
the list.

 

Number Five

Acura - While sales of the larger Acura MDX have
dipped in 2018, the mid-size RDX has been selling like hot cakes. As of
September, the RDX held the spot as the fourth most popular luxury vehicle in
Canada.

 

Number Four

Lexus - With two SUVs in the top ten of luxury
vehicles sold this year - the fourth-ranked RX and the ninth-ranked NX - Lexus
easily claims the fourth spot.

 

Number Three

Audi - Considering that the Audi Q5 outsells all
other luxury vehicles except for the Tesla Model 3, coupled with the fact that
they hold five of the top twenty-five positions in total vehicle sales; it's no
surprise that they're in third place.

 

Number Two

BMW - With three extremely popular vehicles -
the X3, the X5, and the BMW 3-series - Bavarian Motor Works tops out as the second
most popular luxury brand in Canada.

 

Number One

Mercedes Benz - Thanks to the best-selling
non-SUV C-Class, and its top-ten selling GLC and GLE class SUVs, Mercedes Benz
wins this year's trophy as Canada's number one luxury brand.
